Final Project
My final exam is a book cover for a story I'm working on. I really enjoyed this project, and I love stylistic drawings. I'm glad I was able to do this.
Plaster Sculpture
This is my plaster sculpture called What's on the TV? It was very difficult to carve and I ran out of time, but I still like how it turned out. It's not painted, but it still looks okay.
Portrait
This was very challenging for me. Especially when I got to his teeth, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Creating value was a little difficult with how pale he is, but it was still a very fun project. I still need to work on contrast and detail with his hair.
Final Project
This is my final project. It's supposed to be a very sad piece. The purpose to bring up conversation on depression and I portrayed my own thoughts. It's a very personal piece for me, but I felt it was important for me to get out there.
Watercolor
The first photo are different techniques I did for watercolor, and the second photo is the start of my watercolor painting project. The sunset and rubber duck are my reference photos.
Linocut Print
The first two pictures are my practice ones, but the final ones are the bigger prints. This was a semi-easy project and I had a fun time doing it. I like the design I did, but I regret not doing more colored paper for the prints. There are total of ten prints and I'm putting one in my school's art show and I'm donating one to the Kids For Sake auction.
Charcoal
The first two are my charcoal practice papers. For the first one I had about 2 minutes and the second I had about 8 minutes. These are pretty laughable, but when I have more time, I feel as if I'll do better. The leaf is my actual charcoal project. The last three pictures are the finished project.
Sketch Book
This is my Japanese Stab Binding practice, and finished sketchbook. I'll be using this throughout the year for our weekly drawings. This was a little difficult, but if I spent more time on it, it would've been better. I'll also be including my weekly drawings.
